Musician, entertainer and TuneTalk CEO Jason Lo brought the ruckus to Malaysian Twitter feeds on Sunday when he tweeted that religious affiliation be removed from the information presented on identity cards, spurned by the recent raid by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) on a Hindu wedding in PJ:
This brought on a storm of responses from his followers, tweeting talking heads and detractors alike, and JLo stood his ground through pretty much all of it.
This being Malaysia and Twitter, it didn’t take long for the conversation to turn into a series of attacks on Jason’s opinion on Islam.
That last tweet probably stoked JLo a little more than it should have. Because, well:
Not really general knowledge for the Malaysian public, but there you have it. It didn’t end there, of course.
JLo went off on a lenghty monologue trying to shut down all the flak coming his way, probably because he figured he’d still be replying to tweets right now if he didn’t.
