Architect and two others charged with trying to support Islamic State

Three men have been charged at the Sepang Sessions Court for attempting to support terror group, the Islamic State. 

The men had planned to do so by trying to board a flight to Turkey, the New Straits Times reported. 

The accused – Architect Mohd Syafrein Rasid, 26, technician Mohamad Yusoffe Ishak, 26 and trader Mohd Rosmadi Che Daud, 42 – had allegedly committed the offences at the Immigration Counter of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s departure hall around 8.55am on Sept 25, the NST reported.

No plea was recorded. Found guilty, all three face a jail time of 15 years or a fine.
