As DBKL goes silent on pothole complaints, biker group repairs roads in KL by themselves

These bikers aren’t about to sit around waiting for the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to realise that there ARE damaged roads in the city.

After countless unattended complaints to DBKL about potholes and bad road conditions, a biker group – Silaturrahim Brotherhood – has grown fed up and is now repairing damaged city roads all by themselves.

The group’s spokesman, Azlan Sani Zawawi @ Lando Zawawi, told The Rakyat Post that four areas with serious damage will be given the most attention.

Last night, Azlan said the group would work in Taman Sri Rampai, Wangsa Maju and Wangsa Melawati and possibly Jalan Binjai near Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

“As a road user in the city, I am very concerned. There are so many dangerous potholes, with some even knee deep! They can be repaired swiftly and cheaply,” he reportedly said adding that a few of his friends had died due to pothole-related accidents.

Refusing any kind of financial help, Azlan told TRP: “If you want to help, then come to the ground and lend us a hand. But no money, please.”

We will remember this deed, Silaturrahim Brotherhood. Thank you.
