Friday December 19th

We Wish You A Merry Christmas! HOME ALONE @ MPO, KLCC

Start warming up to the peak of the festive season with a screening of ‘Home Alone’, complete with John William’s live score performed by The Kuala Lumpur Children’s Choir and Young Choral Academy Youth Chorale with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, conducted by Fabian Russell.

Saturday December 20th

All I Want For Christmas Is TECHNOLOGUE @ UNDER9

The weekend unveils another instalment of Technologue, radical vibrations of the underground and a return to the 4/4 sound spirit from the turn of the century. Be there all night long till late as the music progresses from the warehouse classics to deeply pulsating hard industrial sounds of today.

Singapore’s Notion A, a formidable techno advocate, shares inspiration of six years educating listeners from across the causeway as a protégé of Loopinmotion, and currently propagating his own brilliant standards to enthusiasts. KL City’s own Jason Voon builds from his deck experimentations conglomerating House, Hard Dance and Techno, unleashing an experience of late 90’s club music juxtaposed with rare hostile tracks and party tricks that will comfortably warm your auditory cortex.

Oh, Holy Night! CINDERELLA ‘THE BALLET SLIPPER’ @ KLPAC

Cinderella’s life of enslavement was temporarily halted by a fairy godmother who granted her one magical evening at the royal ball, a touch that collapsed at midnight, leaving only a ballet shoe for the prince, who later started a frantic search for his princess to be, and finally reunited with her in love.

This ballet performance is produced by STEPZ Academy of Dance (http://www.stepz.com.my/).

Have Yourself A Merry Little CHRISTMAS OPERA WITH MAJA PAVLOVSKA @ ROYAL LAKE CLUB

Be part of a fun and entertaining evening engagement with the immensely gifted world-class soprano Maja Pavlovska, accompanied by special local talents Justin Chew (pianist) and The Christmas Carollers, as the Royal Lake Club gives their supreme response to the Christmas spirit.

Do They Know It’s Christmas? FEEDBACK OPEN MIC @ THE BEE PUBLIKA

Feedback: A Homemade Open Mic Show, is a very popular fresh talent showcase, organized by The Bee Publika KL, in collaboration with Reza Salleh of Moonshine, and going into its third year run.

This edition will feature guest musicians Narmi and Ray Cheong.

Wednesday December 24th

Deck the halls with MEAA (MALAYSIA EMERGING ARTIST AWARDS) SHOWCASE @ MAP KL

The top 5 most promising young artists as presented by the MEAA (Malaysia Emerging Artist Awards) 2014 in Malaysia, share their works at MAP KL, White Box, in a two-week exhibition.

The opening ceremony will be held the day before, on the 23rd of December at 8.00pm, and will be officiated by En. Haned Masjak, Director General of the National Visual Arts Gallery.

Friday December 26th

Santa, Santa, High In The SKY GETAWAY @ KL TOWER

From the team that brought Jacob Van Hage to KL Tower, comes another Sky Getaway, the highest music festival in South-East Asia. This new edition features European establishments of pure EDM / trance, by Dutch master David Gravell and Romanian entertainment icon Alexandra Badoi.

David Gravell (Netherlands) is an EDM music producer and DJ, famous for his trance, big room and progressive house mix. His work received numerous appraisals by international DJ legends such as Armin van Buuren, who also gave opportunity to Alexandra Baboi (Romania) to sing in his tracks and made her first hit “The Cold Shower”, and she now performs with DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk and Moby.

Embrace the sounds of David Gravell and be mesmerized by Alexandra Baboi.

Saturday December 27th

It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The STRING ENSEMBLE YEAR END CONCERT @KLPAC

On the last weekend before New Year 2015, watch 35 young musicians (youngest at 10 years of age) assemble their instruments and contrasting styles, delivering definitive classical music and vibrant modern selections such as Dvorak, Bach, Mozart, Anderson and Boyce; a KLPAC farewell to 2014.

Performed by the KLPAC String Ensemble.

Venue: Pentas 2, Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre, Sentul Park.
