PJ nightclub busted for hosting “ladyboy” pole dances

An entertainment centre in Petaling Jaya was raided after police received reports that it was hosting weekly pole dances performed by “ladyboys” flown in from Thailand.

The dance troupe, billed as “Ladyboy Siam” by the nightclub, would perform every Wednesday night, and are believed to have also offered sexual services to the club’s patrons.

The club was raided by Bukit Aman’s Secret Societies, Vice and Gambling Investigations Division (D7) at 2.30am this morning.

The raid resulted in the apprehension of 36 foreign pole dancers.

Assistant Superintendent Muhammad Mohd Jais told Harian Metro the dances would begin at 11pm on Wednesday night and would carry on til the early hours of the morning.

“The were also found to have offered sexual services to patrons at a rate of between RM150 to RM300 per sexual act,” he added.

Patrons who accepted these offers for sexual services were then taken to a nearby hotel to avoid detection by the authorities.

Muhammad said the club had set up a token system for patrons to mark their favourite dancers, in the form of floral garlands.

“The more expensive and elaborate the garland, the better the service these dancers would later give to their patrons.”

All apprehended suspects have been transferred to the PJ district police headquarters for further investigation.

The nightclub in question might not know this, but ‘ladyboy’ is a highly derogatory term (unless you’re one yourself, and don’t mind using it as a descriptor). Hopefully someone from the club will see Pangina Heals’ Queer As Fuck episode where she breaks LGBTQ etiquette very clearly for everyone’s convenience:
