An odd job worker in Georgetown, Penang stumbled upon a strange looking plastic bag and decided he to see what’s inside.
And what he saw shocked him to the extent that it became ‘the most terrifying experience of his life’: hand grenades and live ammunition.
Shamsudin Susan, 62, told The Rakyat Post’s Zalinah Noordin that he had been doing some repair works at a nearby apartment at 9am when he made the explosive discovery.
“Thank God it did not explode. I’m glad I checked the contents as I had initially wanted to bring it with me downstairs from the first floor of my friend’s apartment unit to throw it away,” he told the news portal.
According to TRP, the ammunition included 70 M-16 bullets which were taken away by the bomb disposal unit yesterday.
