Flood victims offered free STPM, MUET certificate replacement

Flood victims whose Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) and Malaysian University English Test (MUET) certificates have been lost or damaged in the recent floods can apply to have them replaced at no charge.

The Malaysian Examination Council (MPM) said the offer — which begins today — will allow flood victims to apply through their state education departments for replacement certs, Bernama reports.

And they have until March 20 to do so.

“The exemption is only provided for victims from the flood affected states. Applications must be accompanied by a letter of confirmation from the village head and a police report,” the MPM said in a statement as reported by Bernama.

It said late applicants would have to pay the usual fees for replacement certs — STPM certificates (RM50), STPM result slips MUET slips applied for the first time (RM20), second time (RM30) and third time (RM50).
