Motorsport-Free Morning: Cycle, skate or run at the Sepang circuit on May 23

The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is offering Malaysians the opportunity to conquer the track in a low carbon footprint way, with its first Motorsport-Free Morning on May 23.

Just get there with your bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards or even running shoes and enjoy an experience at the 5,543-meter world class race track.

“This is the first time we are opening the track to the public free of charge, as previous non-motorised events held here were paid activities. Whether you’re a devoted sports or outdoor enthusiast or just looking for a unique weekend experience, I  believe the Motorsport-Free Morning will appeal to you,” said SIC chief executive Datuk Razlan Razali.

He added that the SIC team was exploring the possibility of making the Motorsport-Free Morning a monthly event, and to also amp up its appeal by opening the event to vendors wishing to sell equipment and accessories of interest to sports and fitness enthusiasts, such as bicycle parts and accessories.

Members of the public of all ages are welcome at the Motorsport-Free Morning, while children  below 7 years must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian at all times. Participants are  recommended to dress in sports attire and highly encouraged to use appropriate safety gear.

More details are and will be made available at SIC’s Facebook page.
