Roadblocks. We all avoid them like the plague. It’s not a big deal.
That’s what Facebook user and DJ Victor Chan would have done, too, but on the second day of Hari Raya he drove past a police roadblock set up on the opposite side of the road from him and saw a team of traffic police officers – presumably all Muslim – having their Raya lunch by the roadside.
Because decent dudes are decent, and Victor certainly seems like a decent dude, he did the decent thing to do: he drove around for a bit looking for a decent shop from which to buy a decent Aidilfitri hamper, drove back to the roadblock (where we hope he wasn’t asked to present his IC and was patted down) and gave the hamper to the diligent police officers.
