Selangor’s free bus system has come to Sataytown!
Following the rollout of the Smart Selangor free bus service in Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, and Subang last July, the Selangor state government launched the service in Kajang today.
Prasarana Malaysia Bhd, parent company of Smart Selangor’s operator Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, said in a statement that the bus service would cover a 9.4km one-way route from Kajang town to the Kajang Bus Terminal, with 15 stops running through alan Sungai Chua, Jalan Wah Siew, Taman Kajang Indah, Taman Koperasi LLN, Taman Sri Kejora, Persiaran Cempaka, Persiaran Bangi and Jalan Reko.
The return route, stretching across 10.8km, will run through 19 stops, with the additional stops being Jalan Semenyih, Jalan Timur and Jalan Cheras.
Bernama reports that the bus service will run daily from 6am to 10pm, and Kajang commuters can expect to have to wait a maximum of 20 minutes between every bus.
