An 8-year-old husky sacrificed her life to save her owners from a deadly cobra which found its way into their home in Butterworth.
According to The Star Online, the owners, a woman and her son, had just returned home from the hospital around noon on Tuesday. When they let Anna out of her cage, that was when the incident happened.
“My son had just let Anna out of her cage and into our compound when she suddenly started barking,” said the 75-year-old woman.
“I was shocked to see that she was fending off a 2.4m-long cobra. We were too afraid to go out, so we called our area’s security volunteer team for help,” she said.
When the team arrived, they found Anna in a semi-conscious state. They rushed her to the vet, but it was too late.
Meanwhile, that murderous snake managed to get away.
