A three-year-old boy reportedly got his genitals caught between the steps of an escalator at a shopping centre in Bagan Serai, Perak this evening.
The New Straits Times’ Sylvia Looi reports that Fire and Rescue Department personnel managed to free the boy and he was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The incident reportedly happened just after 8pm.
“When we reached the scene, we used a crowbar to open the escalator steps and free the boy,” a department spokesman was quoted as saying.
How the boy’s private parts got stuck between steps remains a questions, though, the daily said.
