Road bully terrorises students, begs for forgiveness after getting arrested

Keep calm and lodge a police report.

That was what Mohd Zul Fadlain Abdullah did when he was confronted by a road bully near the Bulatan Duta-Segambut road on Saturday.

According to The New Straits Times‘ Faisal Asyraf, the 38-year-old and six other students from a Tahfiz religious school were on their way to Bukit Tunku to break fast at 6.30pm when the other driver in a black Perodua Myvi abruptly overtook his vehicle from behind.

Unable to stop in time, the cars collided into each other. The driver of the black Myvi furiously got out of his car and allegedly started kicking the headlight on Mohd Zul’s car, breaking it in the process.

The man then reportedly challenged Mohd Zul to a fight. Keeping his cool, Mohd Zul wound down his window but he was allegedly punched on his arm and face.

The man then reportedly sped off.

Mohd Zul lodged a police report at the Sentul district police headquarters shortly after.

“My friends and I were traumatised by the incident. Had I been reactive, I would have had a scuffle with him. I decided to keep calm and lodge a police report instead,” Mohd Zul was quoted as saying.

Sentul police chief Asssistant Commissioner R.Munusamy told the daily that the man had surrendered himself to the police and will be charged on Monday.

According to Mohd Zul, the suspect had apologised to him and offered to bear the cost of the damage done to his car but he declined.

“I want to teach him a lesson so that next time he will not take advantage on other road users,” Mohd Zul was further quoted as saying.
