Pokemon Go lands businessman in trouble

Barely three days after its official launch in Malaysia, we’ve already got someone breaking the law while playing Pokemon Go.

A businessman became the first person in Pahang to get a police summon for playing the augmented reality game while driving, according to The New Straits Times.

Pahang Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Mohd Noor Yusof Ali told the daily that the man was stopped by traffic police while he was driving along Jalan Stadium at 11am on Sunday.

“The summon was issued for the offence of using his handphone while driving.

“Incidentally, he was playing with Pokemon Go when he was flagged down by the traffic police,” he was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai has warned Malaysians against playing the game while they are behind the wheel:
