British couple realises they were the only ones on Firefly flight, proceeds to party

Ever wondered what it feels like to travel on your own private jet like your favourite rock star? Well, this British couple got to do just that – and they did not even have to pay a single cent extra!

Last week, Kyle McNicol and his partner Carrie Fisher (no, not the ‘Star Wars’ actress) were pleasantly surprised to find themselves the only passengers on a Firefly flight from Krabi, Thailand to Penang.

According to a news report by UK news site Metro, the 28-year-olds from Yorkshire, England reportedly book the flight via the low cost commercial airline, which is owned by Malaysia Airlines (MAS).

When they checked in for the flight at the check-in counter, they were left very confused when the staff reportedly told them: “Oh very special flight for you today”.

The customs officer, while checking their passports, then reportedly burst into laughter, exclaiming: “Just you two”.

It wasn’t until the both of them were on the charter bus taking them to their flight that they realised that – gasp! – they were the only ones on the flight.

“The cabin crew felt just as awkward as we did to start with, it was the first time that it happened to them too.

“We asked where we could sit and were told we could sit anywhere, run up and down just don’t jump,” Carrie was quoted as saying.

So, what do you do when you have an entire plane to yourself?

Take tonnes of pictures and videos and party like there’s no tomorrow, of course.

According to Carrie, Kyle then started doing his signature dance move, ‘The Slug’, as he wormed his way down the aisle because hey, when you have your own ‘private jet’, you owe it to yourself to pull out that dance move.

Carrie told Metro that it was “one of the best flights” she’s ever been on.

“We were even treated to a complimentary stuffed aeroplane,” she told Metro.

Sadly, their super VIP treatment ended just one hour later when they touched down in Penang.

“I was shocked that someone didn’t collect our two lonely bags off the carousel for us,” she was quoted as saying.

According to Metro, the couple has reportedly been travelling around Asia together for the last five months, with stops in countries such as China, Vietnam and Japan.

And that little private jet treatment? You can be sure it’s the best part of their travels.
