Man kills future wife’s brother in broad daylight after shocking revelation

What was supposed to be a joyous occasion turned out to be a shocking and tragic one when a man was stabbed to death in broad daylight, The Star Online reports.

The incident reportedly happened on Monday when a 29-year-old groom-to-be went to the State Religious Department in Kuala Terengganu with his future wife and her family to verify that the man was a bachelor as he had claimed.

However, they soon found out that the man was already married, as department records revealed that the man married a 24-year-old woman almost six years ago.

A heated argument then ensued between the man and the victim, Mohd Sukri Hussin, in the carpark.

That was when the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim.

The suspect then reportedly fled the scene with a friend in a car after allegedly threatening a security guard with the knife.

State CID chief Asst Comm Wan Abd Aziz Wan Hamzah told the news portal that the police found Mohd Sukri’s body in a pool of blood with six stab wounds to the neck and chest.

He added that police also found the murder weapon — a six-inch long knife — at the scene of the crime.

“We also found some newspapers believed to have been used to conceal the knife. We believe the suspect had come prepared,” he was quoted as saying.

The police are currently tracking down the suspect, ACP Wan Abd Aziz told The Star.
