Local actress offended after having her phone snatched while taking a selfie with Korean star

Local actress and singer Ayda Jebat now knows what it is like to be a fan.

Ayda suffered an embarassing moment during the ‘Running Man Challenge’ held at Paradigm Mall earlier this month when she was denied a picture with Korean star Lee Kwang Soo.

According to Harian Metro, the 24-year-old actress – who was reportedly a local ambassador for an isotonic drink campaign of Korean hit show ‘Running Man’ – was standing on stage with the ‘Running Man’ star and several other people when she took out her phone in an attempt to take a ‘wefie’.

However, just as they were about to take a picture, a security guard jumped on stage and snatched Ayda’s phone from her hand – in front of hundreds of people.

Stunned, Ayda couldn’t do anything but stare in disbelief.

Thankfully, Kwang Soo quickly sprung into action as he chased after the bodyguard and asked for the phone back before posing for a picture with Ayda.

A video of the incident has since then gone viral on social media:

The actress then took to her Twitter page to vent her frustrations:

As it turns out, Ayda wasn’t the only local celebrity who was ‘mistreated’ during the event.

Local actor Saharul Ridzwan, who was also an ambassador for the isotonic drink, took to his social media page to criticise the event organisers for reportedly not preparing seats for the celebrities as they were left standing throughout the entire event.

According to the Malay daily, the organiser is reportedly discussing on issuing an apology to the celebrities involved.

But hey, at least they got a selfie with Lee Kwang Soo.
