iPhone 6 and 6 Plus available for pre-order on DiGi October 31

You won’t need to put in an order overseas or pay out nearly RM8000 for a fresh set – Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones are going to be legit available in Malaysia from November 7 onwards, courtesy of DiGi.

Both the 6 and the 6 Plus will be open to online pre-orders on DiGi’s official site on October 31 (Happy Halloween!), so you have a week and change to a) save up the cash to get your hands on one of these things, and b) to upgrade your Unifi account so you’ll be fast enough to order one before stocks run out.

And judging from worldwide response, trust us – these iPhones will very quickly go out of stock.

The new iPhones aren’t going to be cheap, but at least they won’t be going for day-after private import prices. Here’s DiGi’s pricing list:

iPhone 6:

16 GB – RM2,399
64 GB  – RM3,149
128 GB –  RM3,599

iPhone 6 Plus:

16 GB – RM3,149
64 GB  – RM3,599
128 GB – RM4,099

The iPhone 6 is Apple’s first 4.7 inch smartphone, a marked jump up from the iPhone 5S’s four-inch screen. The iPhone 6 Plus is of course even bigger, with a 5.5-inch screen. The new phones are larger, yet dramatically thinner. More powerful, but remarkably power efficient. With a smooth metal casing that seamlessly holds the stunning new Retina HD display. It’s one continuous form where hardware and software function in perfect unison, creating a new generation of iPhone that’s better by any measure.
