The police have started a probe on the death of Datuk Syed Alman Zain Syed Alwi, who died while receiving treatment at a dental clinic in Bangsar on Wednesday.
According to a report by The Star Online, the police have recorded statements from several individuals to facilitate their investigations, including the clinic’s staff.
“The cause of death has not yet been determined and police are still in the process of obtaining the autopsy report from the hospital,” Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Amar Singh Ishar Singh was quoted as saying.

He added that the case was being investigated under Section 304 of the Penal Code for causing death.
On Wednesday, Syed Alman, the son-in-law of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, had visited the detal clinic at 6pm for treatment before he was reported to have fallen unconscious.
He was then reportedly rushed to the University Malaya Medical Centre where he was confirmed dead.
