Setapak shooting suspects still in country: IGP

The gunmen in yesterday’s brutal Setapak shooting are likely still in the country, police believe.

The New Straits Times reports that the four suspects allegedly involved in the shooting of a 43-year-old man at a traffic light intersection near Setapak Central, have not fled the country.

“They have nowhere to go. We will hunt them down. We have taken several additional measures but our borders are wide and porous,” Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar was quoted as saying.

In the murder yesterday, the victim, identified as a father of three, was shot at 16 times — 10 of them hitting him — by two assailants riding pillion on two motorcycles.
