Aloha! (That means hello in Hawaii.)
A printed invitation to an ‘Aloha!’ themed birthday party in honour of the wife of Prime Minister Najib Razak, Rosmah Mansor, has been outed as a fake by one of her aides.
A photo of the invitation has gone viral on social networks, with Malaysians sharing the image on Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp.
The image of the invitation card states that the birthday bash was to be held at 2.30pm on December 13, in the banquet hall of the Prime Minister’s official residence in Putrajaya, Seri Perdana.
Guests were urged to turn up in full ‘Aloha!’ regalia, which we imagine would involve grass skirts, wreaths of tropical flowers, and perhaps a surfboard tucked under one arm.
Also printed on the fake invitation were the names and contact details of two alleged employees of the Prime Minister’s Office, to which guests would need to convey their RSVP.
Alas, Rizal Mansor, Rosmah’s aide, took to his pesonal Facebook account to dispel the notion that any such party would take place:
Oh, well.
Aloha! (That also means goodbye in Hawaii.)
